Civi CRM suitable for Community Counselling & Support Organisation?
July 21, 2009, 06:05:51 pm
Hi there. I am working for a medium sized non for profit based organisation based in Auckland, New Zealand. We have an immediate requirement to install a database sytem to manage the clinical services side of the organisation (so one on one counselling, group sessions, seminars etc...). The data can ideally be entered by counsellors remotely (so online) and it is vital that we can get flexible and easy to use reporting on the volume and type of work that is going on as well as lots of other more specialised information (like client demographics).

So my question is, would Civi CRM give us this type of functionality (especially with the new CiviCase module) or are we better off building a custom application?

Kia ora ;-)

Sounds like a potentially good fit - would need to look in to your reporting requirements in some details but certainly civicase gives you a great starting point, and the latest version of civicrm has new extended reporting functionality.

I don't think you will find many people on this forum recommending a custom application.

Hi,
Yes CiviCase sounds like the right tool. For reporting I will be contributing some reports for civicase based on what we've been using it for and maybe that will match your needs or at least provide something to start with.
