showBlocks array item not in .tpl =
July 21, 2009, 07:35:56 pm
Hi folks -

I'm working with a pretty straight-forward installation, if somewhat dated (
CiviCRM:  1.9.11960
CMS:       Drupal 5.17
MySQL:    5.0.68
PHP:        5.2.6
).

When trying to simply view a contact record, i always get a pop-up with the subject line.  I searched and found other posts citing the same, but am really not seeing the / a solution.  'Novice user w/o any knowledge of underlying code, etc..   'Might guess, "known bug, upgrade CiviCRM", except if it was that simple, i'd think the answer would have already been presented.

Thanks for any & all help.

Karl

those forum posts also discuss a potential solution. check the name field of your custom groups and if needed, manually fix them

thanx

Donald -

Sorry, i'm not seeing what "fix" is needed.  Under CiviCRM/ManageGroups i have just a couple of groups, both with reasonable (?) names, like "administrators" and another with a 3-letter acronym.  Neither seem "long" or are NULL.

?

Remember, i'm a novice and perhaps missing a subtle point(??).

you will need to check the database directly, table civicrm_custom_group and check the name column. Check the PhpMyAdmin manual if you need help doing this.

Donald -

sorry, i'm not making any headway with this...
i don't know about 'phpMyAdmin'... i am not finding the tool to be available to me via my hosting service's web pages.

What i have found is the 'Webmin' tool, that has a MySQL DB Server component.  And while i've navigated that to the civicrm_custom_group, ... i tried changing the value from "NULL" to anything else, saving,... but no joy.  Perhaps there's more to it than i'm yet understanding.

Here's a screen grab from that Webmin page:  (http://www.khaos.com/images/db.jpg)
