Trouble entering into Contribution forms
July 22, 2009, 02:11:05 pm
I'm able to go through the add a contribution page form but I can not type into the Introductory Message or Footer message boxes?

Is this a permissions issue?

I am also having other issues such as the CiviCRM Calendar view not showing events.

I'm becoming concerned that the installation is flawed. How can I check? So far my experience with Civi has not been all that positive.

yes seems like there is something messed up with your install. I would use firebug and web developer to spot anything wrong

might be worth hiring someone from http://civicrm.org/professional/ to help get u a better more positive experience

I'm in the process of performing a reinstall.

I'll report back

Hi,

I uninstalled and then reinstalled CiviCRM and the specific problem of not being able to enter into the text fields is fixed.

However I still do not get any events showing in the CiviEvents calendar View... I have poked around in views but I can't make it work.

So  I found these articles.
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Using+Drupal+Calendar+with+CiviEvent

So i guess this does not work really with out a hack until the date module is updated...

Hmm - that's not how I read that document ("Date & Calendar module versions with a release date later than JUNE 8th, 2009").

Opps, I guess I may have misunderstood that Is that correct then?  I can't get it to work to save my life. ???

FYI, In regards to my original post here,

After I reinstalled CiviCRM it seemed that I was able to enter into the form fields for a new contribution page correctly however I never completed the process.

After going back into it today I realized that I had the same situation and when I completed the contribution form I was not able to preview the contribution page. Because I had no privileges.

The other notable observation is that the text field for the contribution text areas did not show the WYSIWYG Editor and that was when I could not enter text into them

The actions I took,
I logged out, Logged in, and took Drupal out of maintenance mode. After going back online I was able to access those fields correctly and had the editor available. So it seems that their is no longer any issue whether online or not.

I'm wondering if the problems I had encountered where related to having Drupal in Maintenance mode?

Could just be my configuration but its Odd behavior.
