Hi, i just want to know can i use it for a social networking site? i mean im gonna put ads up?

sure. there's no restrictions on usage. It's geared toward non-profits, but not limited to such.

I don't know that CiviCRM is geared towards social networking per se, but if it matches your needs, then you could certainly display ads on the page via your CMS, be that Joomla or Drupal.
