Auth.net in older CiviCRM
July 27, 2009, 06:03:26 am
I have a Drupal 5 site with CiviCRM 1.9.12432 and they want now to use authorize.net. Initial test shows:

Code: [Select]
Array
(
    [callback] => Array
        (
            [0] => CRM_Core_Error
            [1] => handle
        )

    [code] =>
    [message] => Invalid response code received from server
    [mode] => 16
    [debug_info] =>
    [type] => PEAR_Error
    [user_info] =>
    [to_string] => [pear_error: message="Invalid response code received from server" code=0 mode=callback callback=CRM_Core_Error::handle prefix="" info=""]
)

Could this be due to changes in auth.net's API and therefore upgrading CiviCRM would fix this?

The truth is that the charges went through, even though this error was reported. I am testing live with my own debit card.[/code]

That error (in older CiviCRM versions) usually indicates a configuration problem with SMTP / outbound mail (so the receipt sending has failed).
