remove "contribute at least ..." from membership form
July 27, 2009, 07:32:43 pm
I built a membership sign-up page that accepts additional contributions and everything seems ok so far but I have a few questions:

1) now that I have added the "additional contributions" the text "(contribute at least $xxx to be eligible for this membership)" shows up next to the membership amounts, which I think is a bit confusing. How can I remove that? I looked through the Contribute templates but couldn't find where it is being called in.

2) I would like to add text above the "Contribution Amount" explaining what fund the contribution is for.

3) Am I configuring this the correct way? I have the Membership Types, the Contribution Amount, the sign up form asking for name, address, etc. and the paypal form all showing up on one page. When I implement this page will people be able to click the "other amount" button, type in $0.10 and fill out the information and get login access like a Member or do they have to chose one of the Membership Types in order to gain membership access to the site. That's the way I want it but now, after seeing "(contribute at least...)" next to the membership types I'm wondering if I set this up wrong.

Thanks!

You can use custom template feature and customized template that is used for this particular contribution page.
Check http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Customizing+CiviCRM+Screens

I am bit confused what exactly you want to achieve. Do you want to create CMS user for the members and then they should get access to some special section on your CMS ? Can you give more clarification on this ?

Hello,

I need to take out the additional text:  "(contribute at least $ xx.xx to be eligible for this membership)".

I followed the custom template wiki.  However, being from an older version, geared towards Drupal, and using "Contacts" as an example, i am having a hard time trying to find where this text is.

Can you please tell me which file contains this text?  I plan on backing up the original file and editing the one in place, not creating a custom template.

Thank you!
