Error on import
July 30, 2009, 08:23:05 am
I keep getting errors like this:

Fatal error: out of dynamic memory in yy_create_buffer() in /home/vbf1995/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/Log.php on line 163

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 25690112) (tried to allocate 43465 bytes) in Unknown on line 0

Using Drupal 6.3
Civicrm 2.2

and trying to import a pretty standard csv file.  Records get imported, but not all of them, I don't get any reports of duplicates or problems.  Just the messages above.   I have broken my file into 6 different files to make them smaller (although, they weren't all that big).

What to do?

Really?  Nobody?  How am I supposed to get this data in there?

This morning I get the message:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 25427968) (tried to allocate 8193 bytes) in /home/vbf1995/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Contribute/Import/Parser.php on line 350

But each time I get the error, it is from a different page, different line numbers.

Hmmm.

Sounds like you need to allocate more memory for PHP. Recommended memory allocation for Drupal + CiviCRM I believe is 64M (and looks like you're maxing out at 25MB). Check this forum for posts or talk to your hosting provide about how to check and increase memory.
