CiviCRM Payment Integration
July 31, 2009, 10:11:41 am
I work for a university that's exploring using CiviCRM for one of our Drupal-based sites. But, we're constrained by a university policy as to what payment system we can use for online transactions.

The current requirement is to use CyberSource Hosted Order Page.

Does CiviCRM have integration for that specific system? If not, what kind of manpower would be required to implement integration?

I'm extremely excited about CiviCRM, and hope I can figure out a solution.

I'm not aware of a CyberSource payment processor plugin for CiviCRM. However there are lots of other processor plugins which you could use as models (depending on how their API / interface works). Hard to know how big a project this is without info about their integration APIs - wild guess would be 20 - 40 hours.

I've stumbled upon sources that suggest that ubercart supports CyberSource. Does that mean i could setup a link for CiviCRM->UberCart->CyberSource?

Generally having code available for another similar application doesn't make it that much easier to integrate a payment processor into CiviCRM. Depending on the processor a lot of the code to make it work comes from the provider (some do this better than others). But the integration still needs to be done.
