standard for indicating menu selections in 3.0 docs?

Is there a standard way we should be talking about and referring to clicking on top menu item, then a sub-menu item, then a sub-sub-menu item?

For example, I just wanted to correct the 3.0 documentation for ACL's, and I put in:

Click on the menu item Administer >>Manage >>Access Control.

More generally, is there a documentation standard document anywhere, and if not, would it be worthwhile to create one?

Joe - your approach seems reasonable for this and I think matches what we did even in most spots for the old menu style.

There is a brief style guide here:
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Documentation+Style+Guide

(it's linked from the main wiki doc page under Other Documentation Resources.)

Seems like it would be good to add a section on describing navigation.
