Custom Data / Custom Profile - CiviContribute
August 08, 2009, 08:48:43 pm
Hi,

I have created some custom fields for forms to be used for Volunteer Registration, etc... These fields are Custom Data that was created, some are Checkbox, Radio, and Text Area combinations...  I then pulled this into a new Custom Profile to be used in the form, which looks perfect...

For the live form, see: http://www.motutapu.org.nz/getinvolved/become-a-volunteer?view=Contributions, but when this form is submitted and I receive the email confirmation none of the selections are showing... only the questions...

and this is an example of the results email:

noticed that this is a standalone form. can you check and see if this works by using the profiles directly (i doubt it will)

can we get ssh access to the box. will help us debug and fix the problem quicker

thanx

Hi Lobo...

Nope, not stand-alone...

What do you mean by using Profiles directly?

I can give you access to the site and Civiback-end...

Get back to me with email details.

Thanks,

Andrew

please catch us on IRC. I'm currently on GMT+6 timezone. Please ensure that your ssh credentials are working and we can edit files within CiviCRM

you might also want to read the CiviCRM book: http://en.flossmanuals.net/CiviCRM to have a better understanding of CiviCRM

check:

for more information on profiles

Hi Donald,

I have been through the book a couple of times, but had no luck finding fixes for these issues...

I also have the following questions:

  1. When will recurring events be available for Joomla CiviCRM? Our
customer organisation has Volunteer Days, Planting Days, etc...
     which are recurring.

  2. I am having trouble getting the custom forms (such as the one in
Forum) as well as the other ones to automatically link the
person with a Group. e.g.: When someone completes and submits
the "Become a Volunteer" form they should be automatically added
to the Group "Volunteers", and "Newsletter" should they opt in
to receive it..... but this is not happening, although I have
     configured it.

  3. How do I setup "Newsletter" subscription on the website, to be
     managed by CiviCRM?

Cheers,

Andrew
