In places where the auto-fill name is used like the contact search box in the new menu and when sending a new email, it can't find a contact solely by first name. It can search and find if you type in someones last name but sometimes you wont know someones last name.

This worked in 2.2.x

Thanks Kiran. I think I was wrong about it not working when sending a new email but it definitely doesn't work with adding a new contribution, event registration, membership, and pledge . Will these also be fixed in r23231?
