CiviCRM 3.0
August 10, 2009, 02:34:23 pm
Does CiviCRM 3.0 require Drupal 7? (when is 7 due out?)

We are using Drupal 6.13.
How will CiviCRM 3.0 perform on 6.13?

Will 3.0 perform better on Drupal 7?

CiviCRM 3.0 has been tested with drupal 6.x and shouldn't be any different for 6.13.
W.r.t Performance it would be same as what it had been for drupal versions < 6.13. Of course you might notice improvements thats done to civicrm in 3.0.

No idea about release schedule of Drupal 7.
- If it comes out with no change w.r.t how a module is integrated with drupal, don't think would require any change in civicrm (and/or wouldn't affect any performance).
- In case it does, it would be a community driven decision on whether or not upcoming civicrm versions will support drupal version < 7 (or support both 6.x & 7.x).
