Links in reports lead to error msg on site

After printing a pdf Contact Summary report, I tried clicking on several of the contact names (they had urls like civicrm/report/instance/2?reset=1&force=1&id_op=eq&id_value=9), and got the following error in my browser after it redirected to civicrm/report/list?reset=1:

status
    Could not find template for the instance.

this status message appeared when user accessing the invalid / non-exist instance ID

In 3.0.alpha1 all the URL are Absolute, i checked Contact  Report (Summary)  by generating PDF, and it has absolute URL.

Can you replicate it on http://sandbox.civicrm.org/civicrm/report/list?reset=1

Although I didn't put in the domain info, the links were absolute. I've replicated on server. There I get two error messages:
     Could not find template for the instance.

status
    No report instances have been created for your site.  Contact your site administrator for help creating reports.

I think the issue may be related to session / login stuff. The page that had those error messages displayed the login block.
