Error after install
August 17, 2007, 12:05:35 pm
I'm getting the following error when I click on the CiviCRM link:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/usernameremoved/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/BAO/CustomValue.php on line 325

Can you provide us more details about your CiviCRM installation. Also make sure you have dowloaded CiviCRM for your PHP version.

It's the civicrm-1.8.beta.10920-drupal-php4.tar version.

We're running Drupal 5 with PHP 4.

There was some php4 conversion issue. We have fixed it and will be available in next release.
If you want you can manually edit:

Quote
/home/usernameremoved/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/BAO/CustomValue.php,  line 325
and remove keyword public before function.

Thanx

Kurund

Thanks. I just saw the e-mail announcing the stable version release. I'm assuming that is the fixed version?

Yes - that php4 problem should be fixed in the new stable release.
