I imported all of our contacts, made them all members, then created a group called "Member" and added everyone to it. However, this is what I see when I display the group "Member" members:

Along the top, it correctly says,
"Contact 1 - 50 of 335  Next >   Last >>     Page 1 of 7"

However, it only displays the first 15 contacts. If I page through, it will then show the next 15 contacts on page 2, etc. such that I only can see 15*7 pages, instead of the correct 50*7 pages. If I switch the number of rows to be displayed to 25, I see, correctly, along the top: "Contact 1 - 25 of 335  Next >   Last >>     Page 1 of 14". However, it only displays 8 contacts per page. Same for if I ask for 100 rows per page, it says along the top: "Contact 1 - 1000 of 335  Next >   Last >>     Page 1 of 4" but I only see 29 rows per page.

Also, it seems to have randomly listed in the status column, that some members were Removed instead of Added, when they were all added, and in fact if you do a search for only removed members, it comes up empty (correctly). So there seems to be something wrong with how members are being displayed in a group when in fact the group members are all there and added.

I imported contacts as follows:
I have a spreadsheet w/ all of my group's contact information, using the following columns (note that one row will contain the head of household's name as well as (if applicable), the spouse's name, childrens' names, and employee names (in this case a groom). I do one import to grab the household contact information, a second to grab the primary contact for that household, a 3rd to get the spouses, a 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th to get children 1 through 4 respectively and then a 9th to get the groom's name, as applicable. That all seemed to work fine. Also, I checked the database, and all the records have been correctly assigned as added to the "member" category, it's just that they're not correctly displaying in the CiviCRM show group members function. It doesn't show about 2/3 of them, and some are being shown as removed, rather than added. I'm not sure what you mean by the "is_primary". I also don't know what query CiviCRM is using to create the "show group members", so I can't test it manually on the database. It does seem though that the query recognizes that there are 355 group members (it says showing 1-50 of 355 along the top), it's just that the actual list of the members is messed up.  Thanks for any insight you can provide.

these may all be redundant questions but i can see some assumptions creeping in at to how you are doing this - so just in case

what are you getting when you view the members of the group via Advanced Search?
is the group a 'smart group'?
what are they 'members' of?
what are you doing in the way of relationships? are you creating these on import?
