How can I limit who can see certain drupal content based on membership of a civiCRM smart group?

using drupal 4.7 and civiCRM 1.7

You cannot do this directly with CiviCRM. You'll have to set a drupal role either statically or dynamically based on a user membership and write a custom module to do the needful.

I remember seeing sometime with connects drupal roles and civicrm groups, but cannot find it currently. You might want to search drupal projects and see if you can find something. Please report back if so :)
