Joomla 1.0.13 and sessions

I've run into an issue with Joomla 1.0.13 where when ever I make a change to a contact or add a contact it logs me out of the admin panel after saving the record.  I ran into this same issue with another Joomla component and it appears to be related to a change in how Joomla handles sessions.  I found a fix for that other component but I can't seem to find one for CiviCRM, is there one yet?  Like I said I'm running Joomla 1.0.13 and CiviCRM 1.8

What revision of 1.8 are you using

I just tried the below in my version of Joomla 1.0.13 and CiviCRM v1.8 and it worked fine
