Drupal Admin Menu module and New CiviCRM Menu
August 13, 2009, 06:05:37 am
Just a note, For those of us who use the Drupal Admin Menu module (that places a menu at the top of the screen), the New CiviCRM menu overides it when in the CIVI portion of the site.  That is fine, but you have to leave Civi to get the Admin menu back.  In my opnion, it would be nice to be able to have the CIVI menu and the Drupal Admin Menu, but I am not sure that can be done.

The module that I am talking about can be found here:

http://drupal.org/project/admin_menu

Just thought that I would point it out, this is not critical...at all.... who knows I might be the only one using the admin_menu.

What do you think about this suggestion to add a 'drupal admin' ?

i use admin menu and definitely noticed its absence. in 2.x, it worked fine and i think it's better having admin_menu available in civi.

I had similar questions at http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,9987.0.html . Our solution was to make the CiviCRM menu persistent and adjust its position using styles. We suppressed the superfluous "logout" link and are looking for a way to suppress the non-intuitive Home link as well.
