Accessing CiviCRM directly
August 16, 2009, 08:24:09 am
greetings

at the sf meet up, someone made a suggestion that, to speed up my experience and have a civicrm only window to work in, i could do all my civicrm work "directly" in civicrm. right now, i have to login and access civicrm from a link provided to me on our website and it is slow and my civicrm "work" space is made smaller by our website's navbar, ads and so on.

how would i access our civicrm "directly"?
your ideas and suggestions welcomed
thanks
neil

ps! here is another situation... right now, our website is down and i am therefore unable to access my civicrm. this would be another reason for me to access it directly. thanks

Not sure who told you that, but you need to access CiviCRM via the CMS. i.e. there is no direct option. You can theme it differently and minimize the blocks, but all access control is done at the CMS level
