In CiviReport you can add contacts of a search result to a group which is nice. For usability purposes, it would be nice to be able to add contacts to a new group at the same time instead of having to first create the group before you run the report.

Would this be possible at some point in a future version?

yes, but would be even better if DT submit an issue and an associated patch with it. I dont think its too hard

That way there is a good chance it will make it into 3.0

And the added benefit is we'll get a few more unit tests to make sure it works
