New version of internationalization coming later this year?
August 18, 2009, 09:04:31 am
Hi

We have been experimenting with the multi-lingual capabilities of Civi in our pre-implementation phase of the project. As I now build a more solid implementation plan it would be helpful to know if the rumours I have heard of further enhancements and increased stabilisation of the multi-lingual capabilities are going to be coming along later this year... Anyone able to shed some light?
Thanks
Marcus

I worked on the multilingual features during my Google Summer of Code this year – you might want to refer to the scope of the project (note that the ‘New, database-driven framework for handling translations’ part wasn’t implemented) and to individual entries on every feature.

All of the GSoC code was integrated into the mainline CiviCRM as of 3.0.alpha2.
If you found the above helpful, please consider helping us in return – you can even steer CiviCRM’s future and help us extend CiviCRM in ways useful to you.
