Creating an Event Report
August 18, 2009, 11:57:30 am
I would like to create a report for each CiviEvent we have going on. Generally, no more than 10 a year. I would like the report to include:

First and Last Name
City, State & Country
Phone number(s) and Email
Whether they have opted for the lunch option or not!
How they found us about this tour?

All these fields are on the registration form which we use.

I have read all about and experimented with the three "Find Contacts" search tools (Advanced Search, Search Builder and Custom Searches) and the Find Participants tools as well. I have not found a way to generate the report which I am looking for, nor found a way to save it so that I can reuse it.

Search Builder seems great, except it seems like the options available do not include a way to search inside CiviEvent, from what I can tell anyway. I wish it was friendlier in terms of language and ease of set-up too.

Then there is the new CiviReport which looks promising and, so far lacks the ability to do what I am wanting. I must be overlooking something somewhere as seems I am not asking for that much!

Please guide me.
Thank you very much.
Neil

you will need to work with your consultant and/or hire someone to build a custom CiviReport for your needs. Should not be top hard, and you can base it of the event participant report list:

If you do so, please release your code so others can benefit.

You could also check and see if the Views2 integration meets your reporting needs for this case. most of the information should be exposed to views2
