Submit contact record ammendment to admins
August 18, 2009, 04:29:32 pm
I want to allow anonymous users to be able to submit corrections of contact records to my administrator group. How would I do this?
Would it be something through the Activities function?

I suspect u'll need to write a custom url for this to happen. how will you display the data that needs to be corrected to the anon user?

I have set anon users able to access profiles and listings and custom fields in Drupal permissions, so they should be able to view the records fine. It's just that we want people to submit changes or inaccuracies to us, since our use of civicrm is for the purposes of a publicly searchable organisations directory.

I'm new to crm, how would I create custom urls for this purpose? But maybe there is another way to approach this, possibly a kind of 'email a contact record' form that has fields that the visitor can edit, and would get emailed to our admin?

I don't have programming skills so ideally I'm looking for ways to use the features civicrm does at present.

thanks for your advice on this

civicrm does not have this functionality currently. It updates records in the DB directly

if you dont have programming skills, you should consider hiring someone from http://civicrm.org/professional/

thanx
