Joomla: upgrade suggestions
August 19, 2009, 08:46:01 am
Joomla, alpha 3:

Recommend we include the actual upgrade button and text on the initial install result screen, rather than having a link to it from the result screen.

So current behavior is:
1) Install component
2) View result screen which includes link to upgrade db
3) View upgrade db screen. Click button.
4) View upgrade result screen. Click button to go to Civi where menus are rebuilt.

Recommended behavior:
1) Install component
2) View result screen, which includes green box with db upgrade details and button
3) View upgrade result screen. OR, consider kicking people into Civi automatically, and rebuild menus.
