Attempting to upload and install file civicrm-3.0.alpha3-joomla.zip and I get this error message:

Warning!  Failed to move file.

  • PHP version: 5.3 and 5.2

It might be some problem with directory permissions or safe mode in PHP. Please look around on Joomla Forums, this problem was discussed there many times.
