IN a standalone installation how to use user registration profiles

Is there any way to connect a user registration profile created in a standalone installation of civicrm to a Drupal website user registration page? Or is that only possible when the civicrm installation is connected to the Drupal site?

Is there any way to give contacts access to their dashboard in a standalone install?

why are you trying to connect standalone to a drupal user registration page?

why dont just use civicrm on top of drupal?

you should be able to enable the "access Contact Dashboard" ACL to give standalone users access to their dashboard.
