Country / State pick-list buttons missing in our Prod install of CiviCRM
August 21, 2009, 10:44:28 am
Greetings-

We have two installations of CiviCRM / Drupal. Test is located at d2.domain.com and prod is at domain.com on the same physical server.

We installed the test copy of CiviCRM first, then duplicated the steps in prod. CiviCRM 2.0.7 and Drupal 5.19 in both environments.

In the test install, the country / state pick lists in the "CiviMail Domain Address" area of the Administer CiviCRM \ Domain Information work as expected.

However in the prod installation, the drop-down buttons are missing, and we are unable to set the proper values. The default values are both numbers, 1228 for country and 1006 for state.

I have both the test and prod domains completely white listed in Firefox's AdBlock Plus, so I doubt that is the trouble.

The form will not accept us typing in FL or Florida for the state, US, USA, United States, United States of America, etc... so on prod we are stuck with those bogus numbers.

Suggestions please? Thanks!

Solved!

On the production site, https:// protocol was being used and on the test copy where we do not have an SSL cert, http:// was being used.

We changed to http:// and now the Ajax buttons load properly.
