Contribution subtypes?

Hi there,

I get that there are contribution types.  But can you also have subtypes?  I'm trying to replicate an existing schema.

Ex:

Region (type)
    North (subtype)
    Sounth (subtype)
    East (subtype)
    West (subtype)

Failing that, is there a way to better present data to contributors and admin, so they're not scrolling through a huge dropdown menu?

no contribution sub-types as yet. But you can potentially mimic them using custom fields and some javascript / validation to ensure that the person has chosen the right sub-type for a given contribution type

Kevin - Did you end up creating your own subtypes and using JavaScript and validation?  If so, do you mind sharing what you did?
