Viewing Civicm in Joomla
August 25, 2009, 08:25:40 am
Currently the only way I can view Civicrm is through Joomla's administration panel.  Is there a way to view Civicrm on a similar template like Joomla on a frontpage or through an iFrame?

Thanks

The resources URL link is the through the Joomla administration also.

Create a menu item to a Civi resource.

I am working for a Non-Profit and we thought CiviCRM and Joomla might be a good solution.  So before implementing it on our server, we created a mock Joomla site.

Here is the link: http://aacaboston.bestfreehosting.biz/site/

As it is, I created the iFrame with a link to the Home CiviCRM page.  But as you see it's within the administrator panel and looks very shabby with Joomla administration controls above.

Is there any way to integrate CiviCRM more fully into Joomla?

You should take a look at the Civi book (available for free online):
http://en.flossmanuals.net/civicrm/

Especially this chapter: http://en.flossmanuals.net/CiviCRM/CapturingExposing

You may also need to read up on Joomla to understand how the menus are used to expose component pages.
