Does CiviReport respect ACL permissions?
August 25, 2009, 11:29:14 am

I have looked at it a bit and it doesn't appear to.
Is there a way to customize it so that it does? Are there any plans to add this feature in the future?

You are right that it does not respect ACL permissioning. We'll need to figure out how to add it in at some point.

If important, you might want to consider contributing a patch for a few reports that respects ACL's

Thanks,

most contact reports now respect ACL's with regard to what contacts can be displayed to a user.

i dont think ACL's are used to restrict custom fields that can be shown etc. Not sure about if this works or not, at some level it seems like it should work, but not tried it, so will refrain from guessing :)
