Allo,
I've created an internship application as a civicrm event. I increased the Database field length to 1255 in the custom data so folks can expain their interest in the position. But the field box just shows up as a single line. Anyone know how I would make the box like 4 or 5 lines tall so people can more easily review what they've written.

You might want to use custom field textarea which falls under Notes in "Data and Input Field Type".
It gives you a flexibility to select Height (rows) and Width (columns).

thx Yashodha, it took me a minute to figure out that "Data and Input Field Type" couldn't be changed and that I had to create new custom data. But once i figured that out, you were right the notes option was what i needed. thx again, jayson
