standalone profile question
August 28, 2009, 10:10:31 am
I've set up a profiel for contacts to be added, all is working fine except that whenever I submit new info via the standalone form it only ever updates my own contact entry, rather than adding a new contact.

Am I missing something obvious? Can't find it in the documentation or forums.

Thanks

Mike

What's the URL you are using to access the profile for creating new contacts?  By "standalone" - do you mean you've cut and pasted the HTML code or are you pointing to a CiviCRM profile via Front-end menu?

One "tip" is that if you access a profile form in "edit" mode (e.g. civicrm/profile/edit&gid=N&reset=1) from the backend (joomla admin) - it will link to your (logged in) user's contact record.
