LDAP works in Kmail but not Thunderbird?

It seems to connect and all but no addresses.
If you click the "Download Now" it even counts them and then finishes but no addresses?

well I am sure it is a ldap thing but just hoping others have tried it here since I used a great tutorial on civicrm.
