Could it be possible to have a button/link in contact editing/adding form that opens a lightbox form and then after submitting the result go to a text field? I need to link to a file repository (RokDownload in Joomla) and there is a great Joomla plugin which adds a button to Joomla article editing page which does just that. But I have no idea how to add the same button to CiviCRM page.

I hope I made it clear whats the problem, but if not, I could explain some more.

You might want to look at the standalone forms for Contribution/memberships/events,
to check how contact is created on-the-fly using the overlay form.

Yep, thats it.
Gonna take a look at it.

EDIT: I'm afraid I cant figure it out. The problem is more of a general understanding of the code because I got stuck at NewContact.tpl at {$form.profiles.html}. Dont know where to go from there. Could someone point me in the right direction.
