Joomla File Permissions - just a guess
September 01, 2009, 09:11:48 am
I had CiviCRM up and running on a dev server, even though I had some initial setup difficulties that I worked out with help from the forums. Since then, I've  backed the site up and moved it successfully to the production server.

However, there is one thing that has proven to be an issue on both dev & production - if I go to a CiviCRM page, it turns up blank intermittantly, but if I clear the cache and refresh, the page pops up. I have to do this about every 10 minutes while I'm working in the Joomla! backend. That just doesn't seem right.

I've gone through numerous forum posts and the documentation for moving a site, and the only thing I'm unsure of at this point are my file/folder permissions. I don't recall doing anything in particular for permissions expect for the "siteroot/media/" folder

I'm curious to know what the file/folder permissions need to be for a Joomla install of CiviCRM.

Thanks

Donald Lobo
