Changing Pledges and contribution type?

In the new CIVI 3 it seems that if you point in a pledge of x and then want to change it to Y it is not an option? Is there a way to unlock that field in the CIVI 2 series this could be done.

Also if you make an online contribution and want to change the source to a new source code you can not change that either, you could in civi 2 series.

Is this a bug or a feature change?

can u give us the corresponding urls on drupal.demo (running 2.2.x) and sandbox (running 3.0.x) that shows the difference for both the cases

It seems that once a payment has been received or possessed in Civi Contribute or Pledge the pledge amount can not be changed.

Also once a payment has been processed via credit in civi contribute the source cannot be changed.

Is there a way to add a feature request to make those fields editable even after a credit card has been processed?

you can post a suggestion in the feature requests forum

in general we do appreciate folks also providing a patch that implements the suggestion. If you are not a coder, consider hiring one or sponsoring the feature
