https is not setup on this machine
September 05, 2009, 09:48:14 am
Hi,

I have seen the other threads in the forum regarding this error, tried those with no success.

Here is the setup

Dedicated on Site Server - CentOS/LAMP
Joomla 1.5.1 and Civi 2.2.7
www.domainname.org - main website no joomla/civi
events.domainname.org - joomla/civi website

Based on other threads relating to this issue and additional research, went and purchased a wildcard SSL cert to cover both websites on the same server.

But I am still getting this error and the page loads when force SSL is on is very slow.

Advise, Options, thought?

Thanks!

Check Administer Civicrm > Global Settings > Resource URL

It should be set to the event. subdomain.

Re: https is not setup on this machine - SOLVED

The solution was not a CiviOne

it was anpache mod_ssl ssl.conf and httpd.conf issue because we are running multiple virtual hosts on our server.

A good reference that I found to this issue is

http://shapeshed.com/journal/setting_up_mod_ssl_on_apache_centos_52/

Proably more for Apache on CentOS.
