Event confirmation page, Event Fee(s) section blank
September 06, 2009, 06:02:38 pm
Almost set with going live for a fall confernce. One little thing..

On the Event Confirmation Page, prior to completing payment, the Event Fee(s) section is blank.

The Event is configured to use a Price Set that has 5 options, 1 of those options is $0.00. Would that becausing the issue, becuase it is the last option?

Civi 2.2.7 Joomla 1.5.1.

Pay Later Option is also enabled and when that is selected, same thing.

Payment Processor is set to PayPal Standard, will be switching to Paypal Express Checkout before going live.

Thanks!

I am new to all this, so you want might want to wait until another experienced user posts, but I do know that I had to go back and check through some of my own fields to make sure everything was "active" or "enabled", just to be safe.

Thanks!

But that was the first thing I did.  I still think it has something to do with the last price option being set to $0.00. Other posts related to $0.00 were not helpful.

We have a 2 day confernce. The second day is optional and at no charge and can be attended without attending Day 1. In order to disnguish and print name badges, since Civi does not support multi session events very well, my solution was to come up with a Price Set, set to required and Radio Buttons, one option per line:

Early Bird Pricing:
Member Day 1 $75.00
Member Day 1 and 2 $75.00
Non Member Day 1 $95.00
Non Member Day 1 and Day 2 $95.00
Day 2 Meeting Only $0.00

Not to mention that the confirmation e-mail, even with the patch applied that was referenced in another thread, still does not line up correctly because the Price Set Descriptions exceed a default length that seems to be set in the confirmation e-mail tpl file. I have got a a PHP prorgramer looking at this for me and he is going bald trying to get things lined up, but that's the least of my issues just prior to going live in 2 days.

On the Event Confirmation Page, prior to completing payment, the Event Fee(s) section is blank.

Could you replicate this on demo?

Just logged into the Joomla Administrator Demo site - Sorry - I do not understand German and do not know how to change the demo from German to English.

No - In the demo it works correctly.

Setup a price set with two options 75.00 and 0.00 and set field to required. On the confirmation page, 0.00 amount was reflected for event fees.

Just setup a new event.  Same result, using price sets, the Confirmation Page does not have the total Event Fees listed.

Is there a TPL I need to patch, upgrade to 2.2.8?

This has to go live today.

This could make or break CiviCRM product at this client.

I just did another test and if I set the price set to None and use the default pricing, then Event Fees are displayed on the Confirmation Page. Even with creating a New Price Set with Options, the confirmation page still does not display the Event Fee(s) when Event Fees are set back to use a price set.

So there is an issue with price sets or how my system is configured.

Anybody?
