Finding CiviMail Component
September 09, 2009, 09:06:42 am
Just upgraded to CiviCRM 3.0 Beta 2. I have the CiviMail component enabled, and was using it in the prior release which was 2.2

I can not find CiviMail in the new release. In the old release, I went to the administrator. The menu link is not there in the 3.0 Beta. I read in the documentation that perhaps CiviMail is available on the CiviCRM homepage.

However, when I attempt to get that page to pull up:

http://mysite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/dashboard&reset=1

the page just hangs. It will not render. I am using Joomla 1.5.14. In the past, I never really used the homepage, as it was not really needed. Is this where you find the CiviMail links, and if so, what needs to be done to access this page?

The problem has to do with using the joomla praise admin template, it does not render the menus correctly revert back to the default joomla admin template and the new menu system will show up.
