New Install of CiviCRM - "New Individual" errors

Hi,

I am brand new to drupal and civiCRM (< 4 days).

I just installed civicrm last night. Everything seems fine except when I choose civiCRM >> New Individual. As the New Individual page loads I get a series of pop up boxes (from my browser). Each display the following messages one after the other:

showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_demographics_show
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_notes_show
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = group_show
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_demographics
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_notes
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = group
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_demographics_show
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_notes_show
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = group_show
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_demographics
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_notes
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = group
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_demographics_show
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_notes_show
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = group_show
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_demographics
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = id_notes
showBlocks array item not in .tpl = group

This occurs with both Internet Explorer and Firefox. I am using Drupal 5.1, civicrm-1.8.10954-drupal-php5.tar.gz, php 5.05, and MySQL database 5.0.27. I have no idea why this is happening or even what these messages mean. Does anyone have any idea, tips, or suggestions as to how I might correct this?

I assume you are not getting the same errors on the demo box (i just checked via FF 2.0.x)

Not sure why you are getting those below errors. Did you change anything with

administer civicrm >> global settings >> site preferences

if not, can you do there and change the "edit contact" settings and see if that improves things

If I navigate to "administer civicrm" >> "global settings" >> "site preferences", scroll down to the "Editing Contacts" section and clear the check box next each of the following: "Communication Preferences", "Demographics", "Tags and Groups", and "Notes" and then save I no longer get any errors (pop-up boxes).

If I only deselect one or two of the checkboxes, I still get some of the errors but not all of them. I am not sure where to go from here.

I forgot a couple of points.

-I do not experience the same behavior with the demo site.

-Prior to your reading your post I had not messed with settings at administer civicrm >> global settings >> site preferences
