Several Registrations with the same email address

In my event, several registrations need to use the same email address. Right now, when several people register and use the same email address, it replaces all the registrations with a single name and profile (that is registered several times for that event).

How can I fix this? Thanks!

for civicrm email address is the key and it uses it to find/locate contacts. i do think the below is a bug and we should not allow the registration to proceed and/or use the dedupe rules. For now, you can potentially do it via a validate hook
