Hi - I am hosting an event, that will have multiple participants from the same organizations, but a lots of new ones as well.

Is there a reasonable way to present pre-existing organizational info in a profile for the registration page?

I qualify this by stating I'm a newbie to CiviCRM :-)

But yes, it would be great to offer registrants a choice of known organizations, or an "other" category to create a new one...that is perhaps  tagged  with "needs to be validated" , etc

The point is that this is mostly an internal meeting, (www.ungiwg.org) and the organizations, and indeed most of the participants, are already in the system, from last year's meeting.

of course, we have a gun to our head to get this rolled out..
