URGENT NEED
September 13, 2009, 09:49:51 am
60 days ago I took a chance on installing this system I knew nothing about. $500 later on installation fees I still have a site that isn't functioning in the contribution section.

The Issues:

1. I complete the contribution form and click "continue" and the page simply goes away. I receive no confirmation email - nothing. The contribution isn't going through. The SSL Cert. is installed and that seemed to have been done properly.

Here is the URL: http://tinyurl.com/q22ftd

2. In test mode in the Joomla admin I am received the following message:
Payment Processor Error message
: 9003:MD5 Verification failed

I MUST HAVE THIS RESOLVED BY THE END OF TODAY... SUNDAY. I am at the end of excuses why it won't work.

Thank you

1. might be a bit quicker to post a support request / email to the folks who you paid to install and configure the system. Since u paid them, you might want to follow up with them. Note that civicrm.org is not affiliated with any of the professional service providers

2. the below seems to be a payment processor error. You might want to check the relevant payment processor docs to get a better idea of whats causing the error and why

Thank you for the response. The person isn't available and he helped developed this product. I'm in a real bind.

Brian Shaughnessy Lighthouse Consulting & Design (www.lcdservices.biz) was a hero. He was able to accurately identify the problem and fixed it.

I highly recommend his expertise with this product.  :)

Now it's your turn to be a real hero and post back the details both here and potentially in the Authorize.net documentation as to what caused the issue and what the solution was!

Here's the existing doc on configuring Authorize.net in CiviCRM:
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Authorize.net+Configuration

You can easily create an account on the wiki and add a trouble-shooting section with this info.

I have probably the same issue. It would be nice indeed to know what the fix is!

Hi Alan,

Which payment processor? I'm fairly sure this is a setting on the payment processor options itself and that if you search the forum on it you will find it. Try searching on MD5.

I can't quite remember but it's something to do with turning off a verification that I don't think the Civi plugin supports.

The processor is Authorize.net
The MD5 is not mandatory, but it is an added security and I would rather have it on than off.
There must be a bug in Civi then.
Thanks

authorize.net is a contributed payment processor. Would be good for other community members to step up and fix or sponsor fixes to bugs in the code base so everyone can benefit
