From Email Address not replacing Outbound Email SMTP username

I created an email address (client@client.org) in the From Email Addresses option group, and of course I have the actual email account (mail@myserver.com) used to send emails set in the Outbound Email screen. I created a new test mailing in CiviMail and assigned client@client.org to the From Email Address. When I sent the mailing to my Gmail account, it listed the sender as "mail". When I looked at the email headers, From was "mail@myserver.com" and Reply-To was "client@client.org". So the address I wanted to show up in From was in Reply-To, which isn't quite what I wanted since it doesn't look like the email is from the right address in my inbox.

I can't figure out what I missing. This also happens in CiviEvent when I specify a Confirm From Email on the Online Registration page. Is it possible my email server isn't allowing CiviMail to override the from address? I'm using Citadel.

It was Citadel. For anyone else with the same problem, in Citadel go to the Administration tab -> Site Configuration -> Network and deselect the option "Correct forged From: lines during authenticated SMTP".
