PDF letter format
September 14, 2009, 06:40:04 am
Hi,

The ability in 3.0beta2 to draft a letter template, using contact tokens, and then create a PDF with the letters for a set of contacts is great.

However, when I have tested this functionality, I end up with a PDF with the letter text in landscape orientation. I just tried this on sandbox.civicrm.org and get the same result. If there is a configuration screen for the PDF generation system, I haven't been able to find it. Maybe this is a bug?

This might be something to do with your local settings. Seems to be working fine for me. Can you try same on some other machine?

I am also having PDF letters print in landscape for me, and I can't seem to find where to change the setting to make them go from landscape to portrait.  I have tried on both my machine (running OS X 10.4.11 using Safari 4.0.3) and another running Linux and using Firefox.  I get the same results in both my CiviCRM and the sandbox.

Can you explain a little more exactly what "local settings" might be affecting this?

Thanks
