I'm running Civi 2.0.6 and Drupal 5.  One of the things I struggle with most is general contact searches.  I have over 700 contacts in my CRM database and 5 other folks in my company, so searches are crucial- we can't always remember our contacts' full names.  I find the search function to be extremely inadequate, and I'm wondering if it's updated in version 2.1?  Here's an example:

Let's say I have a contact in my database called "Accessory Group".  If I search for "Accessory", Civi will return the correct record.  But if I search for "Accessories" (by mistake, or because I can't remember the exact name), Civi returns no records.  In fact, Civi won't return any records if I type in AccessoryGroup (if I thought it was one word instead of two), just because the silly space isn't there.  Seems to me that it should be finding something that close!

What I'm needing is a more detailed search function that will return the CLOSEST MATCH.  Any chance this is fixed/better in Civi 2.1 vs the version 1.something that I'm currently using?
