CiviMail Domain Information State / Province

For some odd reason the AJAX on CiviMail Domain Information - 'State / Province' field does not populate.  I have checked 'demo' and it works there.  The country field will fill with Unites States or Canada depending on the first letter I type, but 'State / Province' just sits there.  The `civicrm_state_province` table if fully populated.

I am running CiviCRM 1.8.10954, PHP Version 5.2.0, mysql 4.1.

Anyone notice this kind of thing?

Yes, my experience is similar to http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,855.0.html, but in Drupal, and for any instance of the the State / Province, in my case first encountered in the CiviMail Domain page.
This occurs for both United States as country or Canada.  The State / Province remains blank.  I can type in the correct value (ex. Ontario) and yet the system does not appear to store the correct typed value.

1) enter C in Country and Canada displays
2) click down error to select Canada and press enter to accept it. 
3) At that point -type first letters- shows up in states field
4) Type 'O', no Ontario shows up. Remains blank on 'On' or Ont' etc.  No error, just no fill.
5) click down arrow on State / Province field and nothing shows
6) Type 'Ontario' and save. No error
7) sent email footer shows the email domain address but contains 'Array' rather than 'Ontario'

We have fixed this problem in 1.8 branch and will be available in next tarball release.
