Contribution Pages Being Called by IP Address Instead of Domain Name
September 17, 2009, 11:53:11 am
Hallo all!

I wonder does anyone have an insight into this issue: I have "force secure . . " turned on in order to satisfy my payment processor and overall sanctity of user information during the contribution process.

Problem is: CiviContribute is calling the "live page" URLS with the IP address instead of domain name, causing an SSL cert warming in the browser not only in the live page, but even in the "configure" screens for the contribution pages, making it impossible to complete the config process.

I have a custom Drupal page that overrides this problem by forcing the user to select a contribution page from it, while calls the contrib page in question using the domain name.  This does not however fix the problem of configuring the page in the first place, or what will I do if in the future I cannot use an intermediary Drupal page.

Help out if you can, yes?

Best to all,

-Joe

check and follow the steps here:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Moving+an+Existing+Installation+to+a+New+Server+or+Location

changing from an IP address to domain name is the same process
