Civi Contribute for a Household

I am trying to create a contribution for a household that will hold records as contacts. How could we do this using Civi CRM?

You might want to create a household, and store contributions against the household.
You should check our online Book and specifically this chapter: http://en.flossmanuals.net/CiviCRM/HandlingContacts
