I find that on my Joomla main menu there is a grey background (to that menu block - several CiviCRM links under a header menu item) created when I click on a CiviCRM link (e.g. dashboard) in the front end. Its not there before I click on the link - so the main menu item doesn't cause it to appear, but clicking on the sub items does. Not a major hassle, but I thought I saw a note previously saying that this was a known and dealt with bug...

Not something I can try to replicate on the (Drupal) sandbox, though.
